This winter has been brutal! We've had more freezing cold days than I'd like to count, and we still have a ton of snow on the ground. Spring cannot come soon enough. Thinking back to January, it wasn't so terrible, but that was January, and we're now in March. Give us some relief already Mother Nature!
The kids have been having lots of indoor fun this winter. They like to play 'Mom and Dad' a lot - pulling clothes down out of our closet =) This was a day they were 'going to work' (even though Emmit always wears flip flops!) =)
One of our first Polar Vortex days...Colin and I were both off work...the kids were off school. Despite the weatherman basically calling for the end of the world, we decided life must go on, and proceeded to paint the downstairs guest bathroom. I love the way it turned out =)
We haven't gotten to go sledding hardly at all this winter - it's been too cold and icy. We did get out this one day, but spent about as much time sipping hot chocolate in Betker's truck as we did sledding. It was still fun to get outside!
Emmit and Kimmy having fun with the camera
Eating caramel apples...wishing it was Fall again!
Selfie! I always find random pics the kids take on my phone and the iPad =) This one was a keeper =)
In mid-January, we braved the weather again and headed to an indoor waterpark in Wausau with Colin's family. This was the first of Ellie's multiple birthday celebrations too =) We spent one night at the waterpark and had so much fun. Emmit was a tad to short to go on the big slides (despite being VERY brave and trying with Mom two different times!), but other than that, the waterpark was great and a welcome relief from the freezing cold!
