It's Hot Outside!

It's been in the high-80s / low-90s here the last week! What better way to cool off than playing in the water outside? We've been having lots of fun in the sprinkler and on the new slip n slide =) One night last week, Ellie started with her clothes on, but once they were wet, decided it'd just be easier without! We've since been putting her swimsuit on before going outside!

New Hats

Ellie and Emmit got new hats from Grandma and Grandpa Pomeroy this past weekend. They sure have been a hit! Ellie even wore hers to church! =)

2 Little Monkeys...

Ellie just loves playing with her cousin Anna. Anna's a few years older, but she does so well entertaining her little shadow =) Last weekend they had a blast together, going sauna, watching videos and eating snacks, and just playing, playing, playing. They were going to sleep in the same room, but we decided that Ellie would probably not sleep...maybe this summer we'll try that one out! I didn't take many pictures, but did capture the two of them in action!

A Happy Mother's Day

Last weekend we made a little impromptu trip home for our annual Mother's Day gathering. We were home for only about 18 hours total, but spending the day with my Mom, sisters, Grandma, Aunts, cousins, and the boys too...was well worth the trip. I didn't really take many pictures, but got a few cute ones of the kids.

I seem to have all these random videos of Ellie - some that I took, some that Colin took on his phone. She is much more difficult to catch on camera these days...video is just easier I guess. Plus she's usually saying or doing something funny that we want to remember..she's sure our little ball of energy these days!

Helping Mama make brownies. Colin actually took this video, and he and Steph were totally ripping on me, 1) because I was baking - I never bake and 2) because I was baking 'box brownies'. In my defense, it was a cold, rainy weekend and we went grocery shopping. I picked this up JUST because I thought it would be fun for Ellie to do. And IT WAS! And they certainly didn't have any problem eating the box brownies - that's for sure! =)



Ellie's pretty easy to please when it comes to toys lately...her favorite things are balloons! We have a big bag and just keep blowing new ones up after the old ones pop (usually after a visit from Rusty) - she has a blast with them!

Spring Weekend

This past weekend Shannon and Henry came for a fun visit. On Friday night, it was girls and babies night as all the boys were out doing boy things and Sara, Shannon, Steph, and I ate sushi and drank wine after the kids went to bed...

Mmmmm...



Saturday morning Sara and Ellie made everyone pancakes and then it was a fun day outside...it was a beautiful weekend.



Yes Auntie Sara, I always eat bubble gum suckers for breakfast! =)



We went for a long walk outside in our new stroller...Colin has reminded me several times that we now have 4 strollers in our garage...since Emmit is out of the infant carrier though, we can ditch the travel system...one less! =)

On Sunday, more fun outside...we biked, ran, drove (all 3) to the park for some morning fun. Before heading out we attempted a little pj photo shoot...the kids weren't feeling all that cooperative...

If you've noticed, taking pictures of Ellie these days is much more difficult. 1) She doesn't stop what she's doing long enough to take a picture, so she's either not looking or 2) She does stop and then gets mad because she has to stop and doesn't smile! Emmit on the other hand...smiles, galore...I can't stop taking pictures of him these days!
