Easter in Minnesota

We spent Easter in Minnesota with Wellyn, Sue, Brendan, Aiden, and Grandma and Grandpa Pomeroy this year. Brendan had his 6th birthday on Friday too, so it was a weekend full of birthday and Easter fun! I'll just get right to the pictures because I have a lot =)

First the birthday boy...we got Brendan a soccer jersey and socks from FC (Football Club) Barcelona on our trip to Spain. They're doing pretty good this year, so at least he can sport a winning team! Brendan's also quite the lego-maniac lately (we played A LOT of legos over the weekend). He's having a lego party with his friends this coming weekend, and Colin, Wellyn, and Herb built him this cool track to race lego cars on!

On Saturday morning we colored Easter eggs. Ellie was more interested in putting everything in her mouth than doing any coloring, but the boys made some really nice ones!

Ellie liked banging on the egg spinner...

After eggs and lunch, Aiden and Ellie enjoyed some super-yummy (almost too cute to eat cupcakes!) that Sue made.

Ellie had a ton of fun playing with all the new toys at Uncle Wellyn & Auntie Sue's! The basement slide and swing were very popular, and the horse too! Brendan and Aiden were very nice to let Ellie have the horse, so now we have it at home. She's been riding it every day since we've been home - it rocks and bounces - too fun!

We also had a lot of fun playing outside. It was such a nice weekend! Ellie is becoming quite the outdoor player with all the nice weather we've been having. We need to get some more outdoor toys at home.

After a long day of play, Ellie and Aiden had more fun in the tub. This was actually the first time Ellie had ever taken a bath with someone else (minus sauna), but she didn't seem to mind AT ALL! Neither of them wanted to get out! These two actually played really well together all weekend long - Aiden was having lots of fun being the 'bigger' one for a change =)

Easter morning was also a lot of fun. The Easter Bunny had hid eggs and candy all over the house along with baskets for each of the kids. They were all pretty much going nuts starting at 6:00 am on Sunday! Brendan and Aiden were both very nice cousins to help Ellie find candy and her basket. Ellie found some chocolates right away and would not put them down. It was always a dilemma when she found more - after a while it was melted chocolate in her hands.

Nothing like a swingset in your backyard to draw every kid in the neighborhood over! Makes it easier to keep an eye on them!

Hehehe, Sara, I know, it's like Toys R Us in this house, and the backyard, and the garage! Trust me though, the boys don't think they have many toys and it's boring here...
