We spent a lot of time in the waterpark of which I have no pictures. Carrying a camera would have been absolutely IMPOSSIBLE as we were both almost always 1) carrying a child, 2) catching a child from a slide, or 2) generally making sure our children were not getting run over by bigger kids. Ellie was very adventurous going down a lot of the 'big kid' slides and not wanting to stay in the little kid area at all. We were a little irritated that parents could not go down the slides with children. Ellie probably could have done more if were able to do that, but we just had to let her go and then catch her at the bottom. We broke the rules a few times (and got scolded by the lifeguards - oh well). They both had a lot of fun, the lazy river was great, and just playing in all the water was very exciting! I'm sure we'll visit the Key Lime Cove again - as the kids get bigger it'll only be more fun.
Poor Emmit had a bit of a rough weekend. He seemed to be totally fine when we left on Friday, but on Friday night he quickly reminded us that he was NOT! He was coughing and crying all night long. We had a two-room suite, but there was no sound barrier. Amazingly though, Ellie slept all night which was a relief! On Saturday morning Emmit was not himself, so we decided in the afternoon (after he wouldn't nap either), that Colin and Emmit would head back home. Ellie and I had a fun mother/daughter night then and swam a lot more. On Sunday we squeezed in with the Betkers for a long, snowy drive home. (Monday morning Emmit went to the Dr. and had his 3rd ear infection in 3 months!? He's on the tail-end of his antibiotics now and back to himself, but it never fails things like this happen when we're NOT at home and on the weekend!)

I think this was after our first waterpark visit on Saturday morning

There was a big arcade too which Ellie really liked - she kept comparing it to Monkey Joes. She didn't even put any money in this game, but thought it was fun to dance to the music!
Nathan playing a game too (and not looking at the camera) =)
Nathan, Ryan, and Julianna...this was Sunday morning as we were getting packed up to go. Ellie was mad that we were leaving and NOT cooperating for a picture...Emmit was home sick with Daddy.
Before we left we also had cake to celebrate Jamie and Suzy's birthdays (Feb. 20th!) What are the chances that both my roomies would have the same birthday - they've been able to share this day for about 10 years now. Happy birthday girls - love you!

Can I just leave a post on my blog and tell family to visit yours on this one? ha! It was a fun weekend and a bummer that Emmit was feeling so terrible. And the day that we get a big storm is the day we are all crammed into our regular sized car with the smallest back seat ever :( Glad Emmit is feeling better! It was a fun weekend, and I agree as the kids get older it will be that much more fun.
