The first night was an eventful one for me. Wellyn and Sue were gone to their nephew's graduation party, so we had planned to have the boys spend the night with us. But then Colin got called into work on short notice, so it was just me and all the kids for the whole night! It was nice so we had lots of fun playing outside. From the start of bedtime for child 1 to the end of bedtime for child 4, it only took 2 1/2 hours, but I survived! =)
Bike time on the patio
Swings
Balls
More bikes, we did it all! =)
The next morning it was very cute...they were all sitting together on the couch just having a funny little conversation.
No princess stuff at their house so Aiden thought it was pretty funny trying out the princess shoes =)
It was a rainy morning, so we got dressed and headed to an indoor play area for a bit. Everyone was a little tired from the late night before, but it was just enough to get the morning energy out!
After our indoor playtime, it was time for lunch and naps/quiet time...afterward everyone was happy again! Having some after-nap snacks on the patio...
Wellyn and Sue arrived Saturday afternoon then, and we had a great afternoon playing outside! A cute one of all the boys on the swing.
We've lived here 3 years, and our kids never realized there was a little creek behind our house. It took Brendan and Aiden one afternoon to find it! We visited the creek several times through the weekend then which all the kids loved.
Brendan, the big cousin!
Brendan and Aiden brought their playhouse to give to Ellie and Emmit. It is a very fun addition to our backyard, thanks guys! =)
Saturday night all the kids were in bed EARLY so then the adults enjoyed some adult time around the bonfire =) Sunday was another fun day at home. We went to the park in the morning and pretty much played outside all day.
HORSE on the Little Tykes hoop was a popular weekend game =)
Not sure what's so funny, but I thought this was cute =)
Good shot Daddy!
CHEERS! The kids insisted on sitting outside by themselves for meals. Quiet meals inside for the adults, no complaints!
Running around with bubbles...
Sunday night we made smores to cap off the night, Mmmmm....
Monday morning we got going early and headed to a local Memorial Day parade. Lookin' cool on the way to the parade...
Very excited for the parade to start!
Here it comes...we quickly realized this was a 'no candy' parade, which caused a little disappointment at first, but then the kids were easily distracted by music and trucks (and we promised a treat after) =)
Cute brothers =)
Our whole crew! Everyone is looking - amazing!
After the parade we walked to a local coffee shop where they had several yummy flavors of gelato to choose from - the kids were thrilled! It was only 10:00 am, but I guess anything goes on a holiday =) Mmmm...
After our treats it was time to say our good-byes...the Minnesota Pomeroys headed home, and the Wisconsin Pomeroys took a nap! Thanks guys for a great weekend! =)
