Say hello to Daphne and Scooby Doo! Ellie is SOOO into Scooby Doo lately. The shows are actually a little scary, but she's so funny about it...she's like "oh, they're just pretending, that's a person dressed up like a scary monster" (every show ends with the unveiling of who the monster is). So when Ellie decided she was going to be Daphne, we just decided Emmit would be Scooby along with her. He didn't seem to mind =)
This was from our pumpkin carving party, but I saved it since Ellie's talking about what she's going to be. She was very excited to be Daphne!
Our neighbors the Shattucks (aka the Gnome Family)
Sydney the butterfly
Hitting out first house - everyone had to take their turn!
Emmit's best bud, Eli
Our group doubled in size at about house 3...the best attempt at a group shot! Brooke, Claire, Eli, Avery, Sydney, Emerson, Emmit, Ellie, and Aiden (we're missing Luke, Palmer, and Kyle)
Boys and their pumpkins
Here comes Tigger Luke
Another house
Sydney and Kyle
Another cute one of Luke
Emmit and Eli were satisfied with about a half full pumpkin =) All they wanted to do was ride and eat after about 5 houses =)
Daphne taking a break
Daphne, Scooby, and Little Gnome =) These 3 have been spending a lot of time together over the last 2 months. Back at the beginning of September we made a pretty major change in routine, taking the kids out of daycare, and hiring a nanny that we share with our neighbors. After two months, it has been even better than we thought it'd be. Eli and Emmit are best of friends. Ellie is Miss Bossy Pants with the boys, which she loves, and she gets to play with Emerson after school. They are all much better rested. Ellie will go to 4K next year, so having this one year off is a much needed rest for all of us. It's crazy that she'll start school next year! Since we live right next door, having two houses to play at has kept things interesting so far. We'll see how the winter goes now. Colin's working hard at getting our basement done - it's so close! Miss Kim has been wonderful for them, and we're so glad we found her!
