Happy Easter 2012

We spent Easter at home this year after a busy couple of weeks in February and March. The kids were very excited to have the Easter Bunny come visit, search for eggs, and eat CANDY as always. We also spent time playing with friends and visited a local Easter egg hunt to round out the fun events.

On Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt which was not all that impressive. There were not nearly enough eggs for the number of kids there, and no seperation of big kids and little kids either. Our kids didn't stand a chance against the older kids running and collecting all the eggs. So the hunt was a disappointment, but they quickly forgot when there was face painting and other games to play. Ellie picked a flower, and Emmit picked a basketball =)

I guess Ellie was in a picture-happy mood this day - not her typical self!

On Easter eve we left the Easter Bunny a treat of carrots and water. That silly bunny took bites out of his carrots and drank ALL the water - the kids were super impressed =)

On Easter morning we were up bright and early for search for eggs. There were treats hidden all over the house. Ellie's basket was in the dryer, and Emmit's was under the dining room table. They liked all their treats - candy of course and even their Easter toothpaste and handsoap! =) I made scalloped potatoes and ham, and we had some friends over for dinner. It was a nice relaxing Easter weekend.

And little bit of action that morning too =)
