Ellie's recent BIG thing is trying to WALK! She'll stand on her own, and has managed a few little steps, so we can officially say she's taken her first steps. She's usually standing against something, and then lets go, turns, and shakily goes toward whatever's in sight. She's successfully manuevered between some furniture, but mostly from furniture to Mama or Daddy and only 3 steps at most. While she has 'walked', I wouldn't say she's walking just yet because if she wants to get anywhere with any speed, she drops right to her knees and goes. She's still the quickest little crawler! I will try to post some video soon. Ellie still has the brightest little personality. She's full of smiles and laughs and makes everyone else laugh too. She loves to read. She loves her picture books and anything that has buttons to push (or any sort of peek-a-boo feature). One of her favorites is a musical nursery rhyme book, so she gets to hear Mama's wonderful singing skills with that one! =) She's also recently discovered that dropping things on the floor from her high chair is FUN! So far she hasn't done too much damage, but meal time is still messy time. She loves most foods, but cheese is definately a fav. She does not love brushing her teeth, but continues to 'practice'. She is saying a few words too, though not all the time or on request. We have heard 'Hi' (I would say that was the first word), 'Daddy', and 'Nana' (Mama). She also waves with hi and bye too. We had some pictures taken again and a family pic too. Enjoy! =)
