October Saturday

Earlier in the month, Colin was gone on his annual 4-wheeling weekend with the boys, so the kids and I had a fun weekend together. We spent part of the time at home, and part of the time in Madison for an impromptu visit to Steph and Mike's. It was a gorgeous weekend - felt more like August than October, so we spent a lot of time outside.

Saturday morning we went with our friends, the Jensens, to a local pumpkin patch. The kids loved the hay ride, picking pumpkins, corn, and gourds, riding the 4-wheeler train, and just playing on all the fun things.











After the pumpkin patch we went home for lunch, and then hit the road to Steph and Mike's for the afternoon. The kids napped in the car (the best kind of drives!) so it was a quick and easy trip. When we got there we went to a small zoo and park, and then ordered pizza for dinner. On Sunday morning, we all slept in (all the fresh air!), had some breakfast, and then played at a park with Henry before heading home. We were only gone about 24 hours, but it was fun little trip =)
