Thanksgiving 2013

We went home for Thanksgiving this year like we always do. Ellie had a half day of school on Wednesday, so we headed up right after she got home (right after the hunt for missing snow pants ended!) We got about 2 miles from home and realized in our frenzy to leave, that neither Colin nor I got her snowpants out of her school bag. Since we fully intended to play in the snow we turned around to head back, just to find they were not in her bag. We then drove to her school to get them from her locker and finally got on our way! I think after about 5 minutes into our trip I was searching Kohls.com and purchasing a second pair of snowpants to leave at school (this back and forth with snow pants everyday was for the birds!) We had a great two days with my family, and then headed to Colin's parents for 2 more days after that. My sisters weren't able to make it home for Thanksgiving this year with work, coaching, and baby conflicts, so it was one of our more quiet holidays. The kids still had a great time with their second cousins, playing in the snow, visiting Grandma Pancakes, and going to the Feedmill!

Thanksgiving night we went over to Grandma's and put her Christmas tree up for her. Ellie, Emmit, and Anna pretty much did all the decorating while the rest of us sat watched =)

We then headed to Grandma Donna and Papa Herb's for 2 more days with the Pomeroy family. Ellie and Emmit had lots of fun playing with Maxwell and Matthew. Lindsey and I did a little Christmas shopping together, we played lots of cards, and also ate and drank way too much!! 'Tis the season!
