Deck the Halls

We had a lot of Christmas fun in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas was so short this year, it went by fast!

We put our tree(s) up the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We put one upstairs and one downstairs this year. The kids had a blast decorating the entire house. I normally get tired of the tree once Christmas is done, but this year I didn't want to take it down. It looked so pretty and Christmas was just so relaxing and fun this year!

Our mantle

We had our second cookie baking extravaganza a couple weeks before Christmas with our friends, the Kigers. We did this last year, and learned from our past mistakes...when baking with children, very simple, NO-BAKE, cookies are the route to go! =) This year we made chocolate dipped oreos, sugar cookies cutouts (pre-baked, kids just frosted and sprinkled), peanut butter cup reindeer, and Hershey kiss pretzels. The kids had a great time, and there were sprinkles everywhere in the kitchen when we were done!

Miss Kim took some cute pics with her foursome by the tree =)

Scrooge treats - so cute and yummy!

We waited in line for a half hour to see Santa this year. Ellie and Emmit were so excited to tell Santa what they wanted, and they waited so patiently. They were so serious about it! Ellie asked for an Easy Bake Oven, and Emmit asked for Ninja Turtles =)

Winter came very early this year, so we've already gotten our share of sledding in! Just two of many sledding pics already this year!
