More Emmit at 6 Months

At 6 months (and 1 week now), two words describe Emmit best - happy and chubby! He is full of smiles and giggles too these days. He's ticklish and just loves when you sneak up on him or give him a little 'boo'. He's starting to 'talk' more and interact with us and Ellie too. This last month was one of milestones for Emmit...sitting up, rolling over (and over and over), pushing up (starting to rock on his knees), scooting around on his tummy, eating more solids, sleeping (yeah!), and a tooth (just starting to poke through the gums). He loves to sit and play with toys on the floor, and we've recently started baths in the big tub. He just loves splashing in the bath. He's Mr. grabby with his hands - reaching for everything and starting to pull. He eats just about anything you give him - he's like a little bird with his mouth open waiting for food! At his 6 month check-up today he weighed 21 lbs, 4 oz and was 28 in. tall (both 95th percentile). His head was 44.8 cm (50th percentile). Emmit is a BIG boy! He's in 9-12 month clothes already. He seemed to shoot right out of 6 month everything. The nurse told us that he had grown 3 1/2 inches since his 4 month check which explains why the clothes no longer fit! Even tonight, after his 5 shots this morning =(, tooth poking through, and 2 massive poop blow-outs (darn shots!) - he was still all smiles right up until bedtime. He's our happy little guy =)
