1 Month

Emmit is 1 month old already...this last month has flown. Emmit continues to be an easy baby. I've had people tell me that boys are easier than girls; my perspective is certainly different with him being the second child - probably a combination of both...he's just a really good baby. He eats and sleeps for the most part and gives us some awake time here and there. He pretty much goes along for the ride with just about everything we do (keeping up with the pace of big sister). Most of his time is spent sleeping in one of three places - his crib, the carseat, or the Baby Bjorn. If he has any fussy time it's usually in the evening right before the first stretch of nighttime sleep - I think the day just catches up with him, and he gets a little extra wound up. He's been giving us some good stretches of nighttime sleep, but pretty predictably waking up twice a night, 1:00ish and 4:30ish give or take a half hour. It's been pretty manageable so far so I can't complain. He's a good eater, and I can tell is already starting to chunk up. His face and legs are filling out. His eyes are still blue, but much deeper than Ellie's, more blue-grey, so we'll see if they change yet. He has a little receeding hairline, so his hair may end up being more blonde too - once it comes back in. Here are a few shots of our little guy - 1 month old!
