A Trip to the Zoo

Two weeks ago Sara, Ellie, Emmit, and I went to a little zoo right near our house. They have a petting zoo with a variety of farm animals, but then a lot of caged animals too. It was much bigger than I would have expected, and practically right in our backyard. Ellie knows a lot of her animals, but tends to refer to them by the sounds they make (puppy, bunny, and duckie being the exception). Her favorite animals at the zoo were definitely the 'tweet tweets' (birds) and 'ee oohs' (monkeys), but she made the 'rarr' sound quite a few times too. Here are some pics from our zoo visit.

I think this was our first outing with the double stroller. Ellie really likes it. Even when it's just her now we take this stroller.



With the exception of getting up once to eat, this was Emmit's stance the entire zoo visit =)
